"It was nice, because it wasn't super competitive, everyone was out for fun," Seston said. "It's a good cause, they're both rescue dogs (Craigg and Finnegan), so we all donated more than just the entry fee for the race." The event, held at the Midland City Forest and put on by SOS (Stray or Stranded) Animal Rescue of Midland, raised money for the Spay/Neuter fund, aimed to help low and fixed income families in the Midland County area to spay and neuter their pets.

Geese fly over the corn maze shaped like CNN Headline News anchor Robin Meade at Grandma's Pumpkin Patch on Friday evening. The maze, which is three-and-a-half acres long, was created using a GPS system to map out the design. "We didn't have any suggestions for the maze this year. I'm a big fan of Robin, I watch her every morning, so I said let's put Robin in the maze," Al Sandow, one of the owners of Grandma's Pumpkin Patch, said.

Sophomore quarterback Ryan Radcliff winds back to deliver the ball to sophomore wide receiver Jerry Harris during the second half of Saturday's game against Northwestern at Ryan Field. Radcliff went 29-for-43, throwing for 347 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.

Football vs. Eastern Michigan

Redshirt freshman running back Zurlon Tipton is wrapped up by Eastern Michigan senior defensive back Brandon Pratt Saturday evening during the second half of play. Tipton, who played in his first game following a two game suspension for a violation of specified team rules had 11 carries for a total of 54 yards and one touchdown.

420 Location Lighting Fun

Kent had us make snoots and barn doors, then set us loose across Mount Pleasant. Here are some shots.

One strobe with snoot on light stand, probably raised over 6 feet, pointed down to illuminate Kent's face. Libby held another strobe by the first, snooted and pointed to define the shadow. We used one of those small, circular fun strobey things on the floor to illuminate behind Kent's head.

Underwater diptych

Bought a disposable underwater camera for some river fun last weekend...Hooked. I want to get an underwater/waterproof point and shoot. Here's a diptych...Coulda been better, but it was hard to frame in murky water.
