Hundreds of people showed up to light and release Chinese lanterns into the sky in honor of Jayden Lamb's ninth birthday. Jayden recently passed away after a two year battle with cancer. Since his passing, a movement "Pay it Forward, Jayden Style" has gained momentum, inspiring kind acts in the community and nationwide.

Yesterday, protestors filled Michigan's capital over the right-to-work bill that was expected to be passed (and it was.) Protestor chanted slogans, held up signs, marched and did all that protesting kind of stuff.

The Michigan State Police were everywhere, standing their ground as protestors shouted at them, some calling them traitors to the cause. Protestors tore down a tent belonging to Americans for Prosperity, who support right-to-work, with people still inside. It was a pretty fun (and long) day. It frees both photographers up to just have fun and make better pictures. And it's just fun.

Winter sports are starting up. The 2-10 shift insures at least three games a week. It's fun, but sometimes it gets old. But the locker room breaks up the monotony. And shooting hockey is just fun. And then sometimes something else breaks up the monotony...Like a guy proposing to his girlfriend.
